Don’t Drop The Mic (DDTM) is an urban variety show where artists create songs off the cuff, freestyle, perform, compete, battle and improvise on the spot.
The show itself utilises methods of “improvisation” whereby themes/topics are both presented to the audience and the audience itself makes suggestions; which are then translated into songs, musicals and games for educative and entertainment purposes.
The program champions social interaction; its main aim being to provide a platform whereby “improvisation” is viewed as a necessary component for social sensitization to various issues; and as an instrument for positive change; the dissemination of ideas, thoughts, perspectives and dreams.
Our target audience consists mostly of students, young professionals and young couples between the ages of 18 and 40 who have an interest in music, humour, enjoy being entertained as well as being an active part of the process.
Dont Drop the Mic is more than just an event, it is a philosophy that encourages people to press on and never give up.
